dance is a form of Irish Set Dancing. I belong to the Stanford Ceili group, which, in addition to practicing socially once a week, also performs a few times a year. Here are a couple videos of our performances. It’s fun! You should come join us!
A playground
in Foster City provides an alternative to climbing at Castle Rock.
Also, other pictures from my visit to San Francisco (tower in the Japanese area) and the Exploratorium (ice freezing, geyser things) no longer sufficient for their own post now that my phone has died and I’ve lost most of them (including all the ones with me in them…and the pretty geometric structures…and the random break dancer…). 🙁

Castle Rock State Park
is “sprinkled with unusual rock formations that are popular with rock climbers.” My brother and I test this theory.
A Bike Ride
with family at Metro Beach Metropark is a great way to spend a Saturday evening. Water, exercise, sunsets, wildlife (although the deer ran off too quickly to get a picture), and a lovely summer day. Win. 🙂
Sailing on Lake St. Clair
is fun. We have two boats, a Thistle and a Laser.
The first two images are of me – first sailing the Laser in to dock (although I’m on the wrong side of the boat), then skippering the Thistle (taken from within the Thistle).
The second two show the Thistle from far away, and my brother sailing the Laser.
